Aseel Al-Shaer is a trainer and researcher specialising in traditional fallahi embroidery for more than six years, including its history, design and composition. She values connecting with people and helping them reconnect with their identity through Palestinian embroidery, agriculture and dabke.
Aseel works with embroidery as a living craft and a documentation tool: a space for memory, identity and collective practice. Her work focuses on Palestinian embroidery, its symbols and techniques, and the relationship between stitch, place and social and political context. Her practice moves between individual pieces, research projects and workshops, treating embroidery as an ongoing practice rather than only a finished product.
